Toxic myopathy in dairy goats caused by spontaneous ingestion of Senna obtusifolia
ToxiconSenna obtusifolia, commonly known as sicklepod, has become widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions globally. Translocation and Absorption of Glyphosate in Flowering Sicklepod (Senna obtusifolia)
Weed Science, 2008Sicklepod is a competitive and prolific weed that emerges throughout the crop season. Glyphosate applications to flowering sicklepod greatly reduce seed production, but there is limited information on glyphosate translocation in flowering weeds. Therefore, a laboratory study was conducted to document the absorption and translocation of14C-glyhosate in ...

Influence of Sorghum bicolor on the emergence and development of Senna obtusifolia
2020In the search for alternatives to weed control, the physical and allelopathic effect of cover crops has been studied. The objective of this work was to evaluate the potential of Sorghum bicolor in different levels of phytomass on the surface or incorporated to the soil in inhibiting the emergence and growth of Senna obtusifolia plants.
