Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Surface Renewal analysis for sensible heat flux density using structure functions
Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, 1997Surface renewal (SR) analysis was used to estimate the sensible heat flux density (H) over different crop canopies (grass, wheat, and sorghum) and the results were compared with eddy covariance measurements. High-frequency temperature traces showed ramp-like structures, and structure functions were used to determine the mean amplitude and duration of ...

Physical connection of sensible and ground heat flux
Journal of Hydrology, 2021Abstract Characterizing physical relationships between the sensible, latent and ground heat flux at the Earth surface is of crucial importance in studying the global energy, water, and carbon cycles. Here we demonstrate an analogy between the daily mean turbulent heat transfer in the atmospheric surface layer and conductive-advective heat transfer in

Spatially averaged sensible heat fluxes measured over barley
Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, 2001Abstract Measurements made with a large aperture scintillometer were compared to those made using an eddy correlation system over a uniform barley field. In spite of wind profile measurements indicating that conditions were not ideal for the application of Monin–Obukhov theory, good agreement was found between the instruments for measuring sensible ...
