They might be giants: luminosity class, planet frequency, and planet-metallicity relation of the coolest Kepler target stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We estimate the stellar parameters of late K and early M type Kepler target stars. We obtain medium resolution visible spectra of 382 stars with Kp-J>2 (~K5 and later spectral type).

Orbital evolution of a circumbinary planet in a gaseous disk

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2019
Sub-Jupiter classed circumbinary planets discovered in close-in binary systems have orbits just beyond the dynamically unstable region, which is determined by the eccentricity and mass ratio of the host binary stars.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
