Fault estimation and fault-tolerant control for discrete-time dynamic systems

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a novel discrete-time estimator is proposed, which is employed for simultaneous estimation of system states, and actuator/sensor faults in a discrete-time dynamic system.

On quantifying fault patterns of the mesh interconnect networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
One of the key issues in the design of Multiprocessors System-on-Chip (MP-SoCs), multicomputers, and peerto- peer networks is the development of an efficient communication network to provide high throughput and low latency and its ability to survive ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A self-validating control system based approach to plant fault detection and diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
An approach is proposed in which fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) tasks are distributed to separate FDD modules associated with each control system located throughout a plant.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A Novel Method to Improve the Resolution of Envelope Spectrum for Bearing Fault Diagnosis Based on a Wireless Sensor Node

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, an accurate envelope analysis algorithm is developed for a wireless sensor node. Since envelope signals employed in condition monitoring often have narrow frequency bandwidth, the proposed algorithm down-samples and cascades the analyzed ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Review of sensor fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control techniques of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles

open access: yesJournal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (English ed. Online)
Battery management systems (BMSs) are essential in ensuring the safe and stable operation of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) in electric vehicles (EVs). Accurate sensor signals, particularly voltage, current, and temperature sensor signals, are essential ...

Lightweight Fault Detection Strategy for Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Trend Correlation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this work, we propose a fault detection strategy for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) called Trend Correlation based Fault Detection strategy (TCFD).
