Preparative free flow isotachophoresis (ITP) was used for the fractionation of apoB-containing lipoproteins (d less than 1.063 g/ml) from fasting and postprandial sera derived from normolipidemic individuals.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Viscous Effects in the Inception of Cavitation on Axisymmetric Bodies [PDF]
Cavitation inception and development on two axisymmetric bodies was studied with the aid of a Schlieren flow visualization method developed for that purpose. Both bodies were found to exhibit a laminar boundary layer separation; cavitation inception was

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Numerical study of turbulent separated flows in axisymmetric diffusers based on a two-fluid model
This paper discusses a numerical study of turbulent flow at Re = 1.56×104 in an axisymmetric diffuser with half-angle expansion α=14°, 18° и 90°. The results obtained are compared with known experimental data.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

An improved analytical model of the separation region on boattail nozzles at subsonic speeds [PDF]
A practical engineering calculation was developed to model the viscous effects of a separated, reverse flow region on afterbody pressures and drag.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
