Pd/ceramic hollow fibers for H-2 separation

open access: yes, 2003
Highest ratio of separation area to volume of membranes can be achieved by the use of hollow fiber configuration. Ceramic hollow fibers with outer diameters no larger than 1 mm are used as supports for dense Pd membranes.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

CPE OF URANIUM (VI) USING IONIC LIQUID

open access: yesScientific Study & Research: Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Industry, 2016
Cloud point extraction (CPE) was used to extract uranium (VI) from an aqueous solution in acetate media. The methodology used is based on the formation of uranyl-ionic liquid (I) complexes and uranyl-D2EHPA soluble in a micellar phase of non-ionic ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Calcium-dependent magnetic separation: A novel approach for the integrated processing of high-quality mAbs

open access: yes
Current monoclonal antibody (mAb) biomanufacturing typically involves expression in mammalian cells during upstream processing (USP), followed by purification during downstream processing (DSP).

From sucrose to fructo-oligosaccharides: Production and purification of fructo-oligosaccharides by an integrated enzymatic catalysis and membrane separation process

open access: yes, 2022
Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) are a group of linear fructose oligomers with numerous health benefits, which can be synthesized by the transfructosylation of sucrose using fructosyltransferases (FTases).

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
