Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Analysis of Oil Droplet Coalescence and Breakage Characteristics in Double Branch T Junction Pipe

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
Existing studies do not further analyze the coalescence and breakage of oil droplets in T junction pipe, and the study on coalescence and breakage characteristics of oil droplets in double-branch T junction pipe using PBM model has not been reported.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Optimization on Structural Parameters of Guide Vanes Built in Cyclone Separators

open access: yesShiyou jixie
In order to study the interaction among structural parameters of the guide vanes built in cyclone separator, based on CFD numerical simulation method and BBD test design,a second-order polynomial basis function was used to build a mathematical model for ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Numerical Simulation Study on a New Spiral Gas-Liquid Cyclone Separator

open access: yesShiyou jixie
In order to study the gas-liquid separation performance of gas-liquid cyclone separators and solve the problem of pump gas lock caused by potential high gas content in produced oil and gas fluid,a new type of spiral gas-liquid separator was designed ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Efficient Checking of Separating Indeterminates

open access: yesMathematics in Computer Science
Abstract In this paper we continue the development of a new technique for computing elimination ideals by substitution which has been called Z-separating re-embeddings. Given an ideal I in the polynomial ring $$K[x_1,\dots ,x_n]$$ K [
