Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Design and Simulation of Fluid Separator for CO2 Flooding under Slug Flow
During the oil production with the method of CO2 injection, overpressure casing gas is usually discharged into the production pipeline intermittently, which leads to the increase of gas-liquid ratio of produced fluid and even the formation of slug flow ...

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Structure Design and Optimization of Offshore Downhole Oil-Water Separation Hydrocyclone
The continue increase of water content of offshore oilfields increases the burden of the oil production platform processing and the downhole lifting. It is necessary to carry out downhole oil-water separation researches for offshore high-water-cut oil ...

Efficient Speech Separation with Differencing
Given an input audio signal where multiple speakers talk over each other, the goal of speech separation is to recover the original signals of each speaker. In this paper we propose a novel sequence modelling method called relative context based on differencing and use it for a speech separation architecture called RCSep. The main advantages of relative

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
