Isolated Septal Fibrosis or Hematoma—Atypical Peyronie’s Disease?
Journal of Urology, 2007Classically Peyronie's disease presents with penile curvature and/or pain, and is associated with a palpable penile plaque. We frequently examine patients with suspected Peyronie's disease ultrasonographically and have noted a subset of patients in whom we could identify only a circumscribed septal lesion.

Nephrogenic systemic fibrosis with septal panniculitis mimicking erythema nodosum
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 2008Nephrogenic systemic fibrosis/nephrogenic fibrosing dermopathy is an idiopathic fibrosing disorder recently described in patients with renal disease. The typical histology in nephrogenic systemic fibrosis consists of haphazardly arranged dermal collagen bundles with clefting, collagenous change which extends into the subcutaneous septa, mucin ...

Coronary artery disease (CAD) and myocardial perfusion were assessed by arteriograms and scintigrams (Technetium-99 microspheres alone or combined with Iodine-131 albumin macroaggregates) in 178 angina pectoris patients with and without the electrocardiographic (ECG) syndrome of septal fibrosis and with greater than or equal to 70% obstruction in one ...

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SEPTAL MORPHOLOGIES AND CARDIAC FIBROSIS IN HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY
Journal of the American College of Cardiology, 2018“Reverse curve” hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), diffuse cardiac hypertrophy with significant obstruction in left ventricle, is highly frequent in patients with myofilament gene. The association between septal morphologies and cardiac fibrosis in HCM patients remains unclear.

Core-needle biopsy remains essential for diagnosis of cirrhosis; however, evaluation of fibrosis in such biopsies is often challenging due to the fragmented nature of cirrhotic liver specimens. It is also common to see portions of liver capsules present in the biopsy which adds to the diagnostic challenge.

Endomyocardial fibrosis (EMF) is a neglected disorder, which is predominant in tropical regions and characterized by fibrotic thickening of the endomyocardium of one or both ventricles, resulting in a restrictive cardiomyopathy (1). Although eosinophilia, infections, toxic agents, malnutrition and immunologic causes have been shown to be associated ...

Isolated ventricular septal defects in clinically well patients are not generally thought to cause sudden death. We document a case in which heart block, with sudden collapse and death, is related to the presence of fibrous interruption of the conduction system of the heart due to progressive fibrous closure of a small ventricular septal defect.

Abstract Strongyloidiasis is caused by the nematode Strongyloides stercoralis. The parasite has a unique life cycle that enables it to cause a hyperinfection syndrome in which pulmonary involvement is characteristic. We describe the case of a 68-yr-old Hispanic male from Puerto Rico with disseminated strongyloidiasis who developed ...

Contribution to the study of septal fibrosis of the liver.
International journal of experimental pathology, 1992Cellular and vascular proliferation in the perisinusoidal area of the acinar zone III of the liver preceded the formation of septal fibrosis in rats repeatedly treated with intraperitoneal injections of pig serum. Deposition of type I, III, IV and V collagens and increased amounts of fibronectin and laminin were also observed.

[Alveolar septal changes in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (author's transl)].
[Hokkaido igaku zasshi] The Hokkaido journal of medical science, 1980To clarify the mechanism of the disturbance of alveolar gas exchange in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, various pulmonary function tests were performed on 7 patients with the disease, of which 5 were defined histo-pathologically and 2 clinically. On 4 of all patients, detailed comparative studies of histopathological findings to pulmonary functions were
