Reemergence of Septoria Leaf Spot Caused by Septoria cannabis on Hemp in Kentucky
Plant Disease, 2021Hemp reemerged in 2014 after being illegal for over 50 years and restricted for 90 years. Today, hemp is primarily grown for production of cannabidiol (CBD), with limited acreage dedicated to fiber. One of the most frequent and destructive leaf spot diseases of hemp cultivars grown for CBD is Septoria leaf spot.

Septoria phyllodiorum and S. acaciae are redescribed and illustrated from type collections and the new species S. grampianensis, S. lamentana , and S. aureocorona are described and illustrated. A key to the five accepted Septoria species on Acacia is given.

Breeding Wheat for Resistance to Septoria nodorum and Septoria tritici
1990Publisher Summary There are three recognized Septoria diseases of wheat, each characterized by its causal fungus. On a worldwide basis, the two most important are septoria nodorum blotch (SNB) and septoria tritici blotch (STB). The third, septoria avenae blotch, is found infrequently and is generally considered a minor disease.

Cytology of Septoria leucanthemi
Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1974The distribution, process of division and behaviour of nuclei during conidiogenesis were investigated in Septoria leucanthemi Sacc. & Speg. by the HCl-Giemsa technique. Individual conidial cells were uninucleate and mature pigmented hyphal cells were multinucleate.
