Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Complementary sets of sequences
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1972Let \(\{A_i,\ 1\le i \le p\}\) be a set of finite length sequences of \(\pm 1\). It is called a complementary set of sequences if the pointwise sum of their autocorrelation functions is zero, except at the origin. A second complementary set \(\{B_i,\ 1\le i \le p\}\) is said to be a mate of the first if the sum of the cross correlation functions, is ...

Matrix summability of sequences of sets
Summary: In this paper the definition of strong Cesaro summability of sequences of closed sets with respect to a modulus is extended to a definition of strong \(T\)-summability with respect to a modulus when \(T\) is a nonnegative regular matrix summability method.

Almost difference sets and their sequences with optimal autocorrelation
Almost difference sets have interesting applications in cryptography and coding theory. We give a well-rounded treatment of known families of almost difference sets, establish relations between some difference sets and some almost difference sets, and ...

Optimal Sets of Frequency Hopping Sequences With Large Linear Spans
Frequency hopping (FH) is one of the basic spread coding technologies in spread spectrum communications. FH sequences are needed in FH code-division multiple access (CDMA) systems.

D0L Sequences and their Equality Sets
Fundamenta Informaticae, 2017We study D0L sequences and their equality sets. If s = (s(n))n≥0 and t = (t(n))n≥0 are D0L sequences, their equality set is defined by E(s, t) = {n ≥ 0 | s(n) = t(n)}. It is an open problem whether such equality sets are always eventually periodic.

The dishonest mind set in sequence
Psychological Research, 2016Dishonest responding is an important part of the behavioral repertoire and perfectly integrated in communication and daily actions. Thus, previous research aimed at uncovering the cognitive mechanisms underlying dishonest responding by studying its immediate behavioral effects.

On an algebra of sets of finite sequences
Journal of Symbolic Logic, 1970The algebras studied in this paper were suggested to the author by William Craig as a possible substitute for cylindric algebras. Both kinds of algebras may be considered as algebraic versions of first-order logic. Cylindric algebras can be introduced as follows. Let ℒ be a first-order language, and let be an ℒ-structure. We assume that ℒ has a simple
