COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Forward-Secure Sequential Aggregate Authentication [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
. Wireless sensors are employed in a wide range of applications. One common feature of most sensor settings is the need to communicate sensed data to some collection point or sink.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Half-Aggregation of Schnorr Signatures with Tight Reductions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
An aggregate signature (AS) scheme allows an unspecified aggregator to compress many signatures into a short aggregation. AS schemes can save storage costs and accelerate verification.

Sequential Aggregate Signatures Working over Independent Homomorphic Trapdoor One-Way Permutation Domains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The contribution of this paper has two folds. In the first fold, we propose a generic construction of sequential aggregate signatures from families of certificated trapdoor one-way permutations. We show that our construction is provably secure in the random oracle model assuming that the underlying homomorphic permutations are trapdoor one-way ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Some Aggregate ForwardSecure Signature Schemes, In:

open access: yes, 2008
: Ordinary digital signatures have an inherent weakness: if the secret key is leaked, then all signatures, even the ones generated before the leak, are no longer trustworthy.

Ordered Multisignatures and Identity-Based Sequential Aggregate Signatures, with Applications to Secure Routing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We construct two new multiparty digital signature schemes that allow multiple signers to sequentially produce a compact, fixed-length signature. First, we introduce a new primitive that we call \emph{ordered multisignatures} (OMS), which allows signers ...

Practical Immutable Signature Bouquets (PISB) for Authentication and Integrity in Outsourced Databases

open access: yes, 2013
Part 5: Data OutsourcingInternational audienceDatabase outsourcing is a prominent trend that enables organizations to offload their data management overhead (e.g., query handling) to the external service providers. Immutable signatures are ideal tools to

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...
