The effects of sequential and continuous chelation on dentin
Proteolytic and demineralizing agents have a profound influence on the dentin ultrastructure, which plays a key role in the mechanical integrity of the tooth and integrity of dentin-biomaterial interfaces. In-depth characterization of dentin treated with a novel root canal irrigation protocol comprising sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and etidronate (HEDP)

Sequential Chelation-Assisted Aromatic C–H Functionalisation via Catalytic meta Sulfonation
Synlett, 2013The sequential functionalisation of 2-phenylpyridine is presented using selective ortho- and meta-directing processes. It was found that performing a reaction sequence with meta functionalisation first followed by ortho functionalisation provided novel reaction products in good yields and with complete regioselectivity.

A Rh-catalyzed weak chelation-guided C4-alkylation of indoles has been accomplished using cyclopropanols as an alkylating agent via the cascade C-H and C-C bond activation. The substrate scope, functional group tolerance, and late-stage mutation of drug molecules are the important practical features.

The geochemical partitioning of Pb, Ni and Zn in contaminated quartz-rich sediment and soil samples was characterized by sequential extraction analysis in the presence and absence of nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA). With NTA, levels of metals recovered are higher in the earlier steps and lower in the later steps of the procedure.

Chelation during sequential pregnancies: A case report with a twist
Obstetric Medicine, 2020This report summarizes chelation management of lead poisoning occurring during sequential pregnancies. Several aspects make this case unusual; firstly recurrent lead poisoning, secondly treatment with succimer, the use of which is very rarely reported in pregnancy, and thirdly the presence of co-existent vitamin D deficiency and hyperparathyroidism ...

Sequential labelling of microdamage in bone using chelating agents
Journal of Orthopaedic Research, 2000AbstractBasic fuchsin labels microcracks, but a series of stains is required to differentiate between preexisting and test‐induced microcracks and to label their growth in vitro. Basic fuchsin and five chelating agents—alizarin complexone, calcein, calcein blue, oxytetracycline, and xylenol orange—were randomly assigned to label microcracks in ...

The measurement of multiple spray deposits by sequential application of metal chelate tracers
Annals of Applied Biology, 2000SummaryChelates of the transition metals copper, cobalt, manganese and zinc, available as foliar feeds, were identified as the most suitable spray tracers for comparisons of deposits arising from up to four sequential applications to a single target.

Evaluation of Carbonate Rocks Integrity After Sequential Flooding of Chelating Agent Solutions
SPE Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference, 2017Abstract Recently chelating agents flooding have been emerged as an effective enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technique for carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. The exact recovery mechanisms leading to the significant incremental oil recovery from the use of those chemicals are not fully understood.
