Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Real-Time DTM Generation with Sequential Estimation and OptD Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Data acquisition and simultaneous generation of real-time digital terrain models (DTMs) is a demanding task, due to the vast amounts of observations collected by modern technologies and measurement instruments in a short time.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

The Sequential Joint-Scatterer InSAR for Sentinel-1 Long-Term Deformation Estimation

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Interferometric SAR (InSAR) techniques have received rapid advance in recent years, and the Multi-temporal InSAR (MT-InSAR) has been widely applied in various earth observations.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Sequential parameter estimation for stochastic systems [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 2003
The quality of the prediction of dynamical system evolution is determined by the accuracy to which initial conditions and forcing are known. Availability of future observations permits reducing the effects of errors in assessment the external model ...

A sequential method for estimating the optical properties of two-layer agro-products from spatially-resolved diffuse reflectance: Simulation

open access: yesArtificial Intelligence in Agriculture, 2019
A sequential method for estimating the optical properties of two-layer biological tissues with spatially-resolved diffuse reflectance was proposed and validated using Monte Carlo simulations.

Sequential estimations of time

open access: yesActa Psychologica, 1976
Abstract Sequential estimations of intervals stored and reproduced by either counting or not counting are compared in experiments with single and repeated presentation of the standard interval. In a non-counting condition the estimates show a negative correlation with the last occurring trial throughout the series after one presentation of the ...

Estimation After a Group Sequential Trial [PDF]

open access: yesStatistics in Biosciences, 2014
Group sequential trials are one important instance of studies for which the sample size is not fixed a priori but rather takes one of a finite set of pre-specified values, dependent on the observed data. Much work has been devoted to the inferential consequences of this design feature.
