ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Development of a GPU-based Monte Carlo dose calculation code for coupled electron-photon transport
Monte Carlo simulation is the most accurate method for absorbed dose calculations in radiotherapy. Its efficiency still requires improvement for routine clinical applications, especially for online adaptive radiotherapy.

An Annealed Sequential Monte Carlo Method for Bayesian Phylogenetics [PDF]
AbstractWe describe an “embarrassingly parallel” method for Bayesian phylogenetic inference, annealed Sequential Monte Carlo (SMC), based on recent advances in the SMC literature such as adaptive determination of annealing parameters. The algorithm provides an approximate posterior distribution over trees and evolutionary parameters as well as an ...

Cutting-Edge Monte Carlo Framework: Novel “Walk on Equations” Algorithm for Linear Algebraic Systems
In this paper, we introduce the “Walk on Equations” (WE) Monte Carlo algorithm, a novel approach for solving linear algebraic systems. This algorithm shares similarities with the recently developed WE MC method by Ivan Dimov, Sylvain Maire, and Jean ...

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory demyelinating syndromes, including multiple sclerosis (MS), aquaporin‐4 antibody–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4 + NMOSD), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), occasionally overlap.

A Bayesian Learning Method for Financial Time-Series Analysis
This article develops a sequential Bayesian learning method to estimate the parameters and recover the state variables for generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (GARCH) models, which are commonly used in the financial time-series ...

Monte Carlo fixed-lag smoothing in state-space models [PDF]
This paper presents an algorithm for Monte Carlo fixed-lag smoothing in state-space models defined by a diffusion process observed through noisy discrete-time measurements.

Sequential Monte Carlo pricing of American-style options under stochastic volatility models
We introduce a new method to price American-style options on underlying investments governed by stochastic volatility (SV) models. The method does not require the volatility process to be observed.

ABSTRACT Introduction Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) have demonstrated significant weight‐reducing effects and may offer benefits in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH); however, recent concerns about the risk of non‐arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) have emerged.
