Ordering of Sequentially Sampled Exponential Experiments
Scandinavian Journal of Statistics, 1998Let X1, X2, ... be a sequence of i.i.d. random variables, Xi∼Fθ, θ∈Θ. Let N1 and N2 be two stopping rules. For a class of exponential families {Fθ: θ∈Θ} we show that the experiment Y1 = (X1, ..., XN1) carries more statistical information than Y2 = (X1, ..., xN2) only if N1 is stochastically larger then ...

Tree Search for the Sequential Ordering Problem
2020We study several generic tree search techniques applied to the Sequential Ordering Problem. This study enables us to propose a simple yet competitive tree search. It consists of an iterative beam search that favors search over inference and integrates prunings that are inspired by dynamic programming.

Sequential scan matching with sensor order
2012 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2012ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm plays an important role in sequential scan matching SLAM. In the algorithm, closest point searching is the well-recognized speed bottleneck. We realize that a searching-friendly structure already exists in the raw data sequence from range acquisition device, and the acquisition order, which we called sensor order,

The author studies \(\sigma\)-complete Boolean algebras and their intrinsic topologies. Theorem 1. Let B be a \(\sigma\)-complete Boolean algebra which contains an infinite \(\sigma\)-independent subset. Let \({\mathcal T}\) be a topology on B such that (1) if a sequence \((x_ n)\) in B either increases or decreases to some \(x\in B\), then \((x_ n ...

Order Dependency in Sequential Correlation
2019 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Computer & Telecommunication Engineering (ICECTE), 2019Data analytics is a core part of the fast-moving world in the modern era, and its origin is data mining. SSequential pattern mining is a cutting-edge studies location of facts mining. An easy sample mining technique is inadequate to apprehend the connection among the objects in a dataset.

An Order–Independent Sequential Thinning Algorithm
2009Thinning is a widely used approach for skeletonization. Sequential thinning algorithms use contour tracking: they scan border points and remove the actual one if it is not designated a skeletal point. They may produce various skeletons for different visiting orders.

On MAD Families and Sequential Order
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1996ABSTRACTWe investigate the question of the existence of a compact sequential space with sequential order more than 2. We establish a connection with an interesting problem about maximal families of almost disjoint subsets of w. We also obtain a partial result by showing that it is consistent that every countably tight compact space of weight b is ...

Sequential Models for Ordered Responses
1997The model considered in this chapter is suited for a special type of response. First, the response should be from ordered categories, i.e., a graded response. Second, the categories or levels should be recorded successively in a stepwise manner. An example illustrates this type of item, which is often found in practice: Wright and Masters (1982 ...
