A Class of Sequential Variables Sampling Plans
Journal of Quality Technology, 1977A computer program is presented that may be used to develop specific sequential variables sampling plans. The program was motivated by the following problem situation. A producer is required to make the following statement about a lot, "With 100( p..

Sequential Sampling Plans for the Hairy Chinch Bug (Hemiptera: Lygaeidae)
Journal of Economic Entomology, 2000Two sequential sampling plans were developed to produce tools to reduce the use of pesticides for the control of the hairy chinch bug, Blissus leucopterus hirtus Montandon, on turfgrass lawns in the cool-humid region of Quebec, Canada. A first plan based on Wald's method was shown to be too conservative in a validation conducted on infested lawns.

Accuracy of sequential sampling plans based on Wald's sequential probability ratio test
Canadian Journal of Forest Research, 1983Monte Carlo operating characteristic (OC) and average sample number (ASN) functions were compared with Wald's OC and ASN equations for sequential sampling plans based on Wald's sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) using the binomial, negative binomial, normal, and Poisson distributions.

The invariant optimal sampling plan in a sequentially planned decision procedure
Sequential Analysis, 2017ABSTRACTWe define the invariant sequentially planned decision procedure under a group of measurable transformations. By means of a previous reduction of the problem, we obtain the optimal invariant sequentially planned decision procedure that minimizes the risk function.

SEQUENTIAL SAMPLING PLANS OF THE DEPENDENT STOCHASTIC PROCESS
Journal of the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers, 2004In this paper, correlated sequential acceptance sampling plans are dealt when the relationship between samples are not independent. This plan is useful when the production quality shows serially correlated dependencies during the manufacturing processes.

Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1970
Abstract For Bernoulli random variables sequential tests of the simple hypotheses p=p 0 vs. p = p 1 are considered. In particular a comparison is made between the performance of sequential probability ratio tests (SPRTs) and curtailed single sampling plans (CSSPs), when both tests have the same error probabilities.

Sequential sampling plans for nematodes affecting sugarcane in Queensland
Australian Journal of Agricultural Research, 1990The dispersion characteristics of root-lesion, root-knot, spiral, stubby-root, stunt and ring nematodes in soil, and root-lesion, root-knot and spiral nematodes in roots in sugarcane fields, were determined in studies in southern Queensland. The Poisson distribution, negative binomial distribution, Iwao's regression model and Taylor's power law ...

A Sequential Sampling Plan for Hard Clams in Lower Chesapeake Bay
Chesapeake Science, 1974The use of relatively small hydraulic tow dredge for sampling hard clams (Mercenaria mercenaria) is discussed in conjunction with a sequential sampling plan. The sequential sampling plan, in which the number of replications was not predetermined, was employed to categorize hard clam densities into high, medium and low classes.

Sequential Sampling Plans for Use in Psychological Test Work
Psychometrika, 1950In large-scale psychological testing programs, it happens frequently that a group of items must be checked for accuracy with respect to certain characteristics. In many cases it is not feasible to check each item in the group separately, so that a decision concerning the entire group is usually reached by examining in detail only a small portion of the

Optimal Two-Stage Sequential Sampling Plans by Attributes
2006Acceptance sampling plans have been widely used in statistical quality control for several decades. However, when nearly perfect quality is needed, their practicability is questioned by practitioners because of required large sample sizes. Moreover, the majority of well-known sampling plans allow nonconforming items in a sample, and this contradicts ...
