Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Existence of Equilibrium in Common Agency Games with Adverse Selection [PDF]

open access: yes
We establish the existence of sequential equilibria in general menu games, known to be sufficient to analyze common agency problems. In particular, we show that our result solves some unpleasant features of early approaches.Common Agency, Menu Games ...

Investigations of Compactness-Type Attributes in Interval Metric Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
Discovering the compactness properties in generalized-type metric spaces opens up a fascinating area of research. The present study tries to develop a theoretical framework for compactness with key properties in the recently developed interval metric ...

Weak sequential completeness in spaces of operators [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1970
Throughout, X and Y will be nontrivial normed linear spaces over the field of complex numbers, E the space ?(X, Y) of continuous linear transformations from X into Y equipped with the usual norm, which we denote by ,u, W a linear subspace of the dual Y' of Y, and co the set of positive integers.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

AGM-consistency and perfect Bayesian equilibrium. Part I: definition and properties. [PDF]

open access: yes
We provide a general notion of perfect Bayesian equilibrium which can be applied to arbitrary extensive-form games and is intermediate between subgame-perfect equilibrium and sequential equilibrium.

A sequential regularization method for time-dependent incompressible Navier--Stokes equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The objective of the paper is to present a method, called the sequential regularization method (SRM), for the nonstationary incompressible Navier--Stokes equations from the viewpoint of regularization of differential-algebraic equations (DAEs), and to ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Sequential Recommendation Based on Multi-space Attribute Information Fusion [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
The goal of sequential recommendation is to model users' dynamic interests from their historical behaviors, and hence to make recommendations related to the users' interests.Recently, attribute information has been demonstrated to improve the performance ...

Sequential barrelledness and df-spaces

open access: yes, 2013
