Validation of a novel instrumented hoof boot with pressure sensors using force plate gait kinetics in horses at walk and trot

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Force plates (FP) are considered the gold standard for quantitative equine gait evaluation but are limited to experimental use. An instrumented hoof boot (IHB) with pressure sensors and an inertial measurement unit would allow clinicians to objectively assess kinetic parameters and gait symmetry.

A Rapid T1‐Independent Sequence for Cerebrospinal Fluid Water Standard Correction: Application to Improved Proton Density Mapping in Brain

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To improve brain water content measures relative to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) by including a rapid T1‐independent sequence to correct for CSF T1 errors. Methods Proton density (PD) was estimated from a 3D multiple echo gradient echo sequence by extrapolating to TE = 0 and then correcting for T1 losses using a T1 map from 3D MP2RAGE. To

A Social and Solidarity Economy Network's Evolution on Sustainability Discourses: Weak Versus Strong Sustainability

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explores innovations concerning sustainability discourses in the case of a Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) network. We analyse the incorporation of discursive elements characteristic of strong sustainability versus weak sustainability approaches in the different Solidarity Economy Principles Charters over time (2000, 2011, 2022),

Selective excitatory effects of γ‐glutamyl‐glycine, a glutathione metabolite, on GluN1 NMDA and mGlu5 receptors impacting synaptic plasticity

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Background and Purpose Gamma‐glutamyl dipeptides are essentially produced after glutathione (GSH) degradation. While several γ‐glutamyl dipeptides have been detected in different organs and body fluids, their biological activity remains elusive. This is the case for γ‐Glutamyl‐Glycine (γ‐Glu‐Gly) which has been found in different brain areas.

TRPM3 regulates fear memory encoding and seizure susceptibility in the lateral amygdala

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and purpose TRPM3 is best known for its role as a peripheral sensor of pain and heat. Recent studies reporting gain‐of‐function TRPM3 mutations in patients with neurodevelopmental and epilepsy‐associated disorders suggest a previously unrecognized role of this channel in the brain.

El ácido siálico, coraza de los seres vivos

open access: yesRevista Ciencia UANL, 2023

Outcome of Calcium Silicate Sealer‐Based Obturation in Root Canal Retreatment: A CBCT‐Based Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Calcium silicate sealers (CSS) have become the dominant approach to root canal obturation in many specialist practices, yet evidence on their performance in nonsurgical retreatment is sparse and CBCT‐based assessment remains uncommon.
