Simulation of Aviation Series Active Power Filter
Advanced Materials Research, 2012Active power filters have properties in rapid reflection, better compensation and the ability in dynamic suppression. An aviation series active power filter based on ip,iq method according to the theory of instantaneous reactive power was designed and simulated with PSIM in this paper.

PESC Record. 27th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2002
This paper deals with "unified power quality conditioners" (UPQCs) which aim to integrate series active and shunt active filters. The main purpose of a UPQC is to compensate for voltage flicker/imbalance, reactive power, negative sequence current and harmonics.

Control strategies for series and shunt active filters
2003 IEEE Bologna Power Tech Conference Proceedings,, 2004Designs of shunt and series active filter controllers are presented in systems that have voltage and current with unbalances and/or harmonics. The control strategy considers the presence of harmonics and unbalances simultaneously in the system voltage and load current.

Voltage quality improvement by a series active filter
2009 International Conference for Technical Postgraduates (TECHPOS), 2009nonlinear load and system problems has caused appearance of voltage problems such no sinusoidal voltage, sag and etc. A single phase seies active filter for mitigating voltage quality problems is simulated. Also a phase locked loop is used to control active filter.

A novel series hybrid active power filter
2004 IEEE 35th Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37551), 2004A novel series hybrid active power filter is proposed. Compared with the conventional series active power filter (SAPF) or the series hybrid active power filter, its active part only needs to suppress some low order harmonics. So the capacity factor of the inverter's DC voltage is improved a lot and the power rating of the active part decreases ...

Development of active filter with series resonant circuit
PESC '88 Record., 19th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2003An active AC harmonic filter, composed of high-frequency inverters and a series-resonant LC circuit turned to the fundamental frequency, is proposed to solve harmonic distortion problems on distribution systems at lower cost and with higher efficiency.

Incremental activation detection in FMRI series using kalman filtering
2004 2nd IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging: Macro to Nano (IEEE Cat No. 04EX821), 2005We propose a new detection algorithm for functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. Our basic idea is to use an extended Kalman filter (EKF) to fit a general linear model on fMRI time courses, under the assumption of one-degree autoregressive noise with unknown autocorrelation.

Hierarchical Gaussian Filtering of Sufficient Statistic Time Series for Active Inference
2020Active inference relies on state-space models to describe the environments that agents sample with their actions. These actions lead to state changes intended to minimize future surprise. We show that surprise minimization relying on Bayesian inference can be achieved by filtering of the sufficient statistic time series of exponential family input ...

Design of series active filter for power quality improvement
2014 International Conference on Electronics, Communication and Computational Engineering (ICECCE), 2014The voltage quality is one of the major concerns for industrial and distribution consumers. In this work, a series active filter for voltage compensation has been verified using vectorial power theory for a three-phase system with non-linear load. The simulation has been designed using MATLAB/Simulink.
