Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Mapping functional brain networks from the structural connectome: Relating the series expansion and eigenmode approaches

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2020
Functional brain networks are shaped and constrained by the underlying structural network. However, functional networks are not merely a one-to-one reflection of the structural network.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Onsager theory of geminate recombination: A single series expansion

open access: yes, 1995
The Onsager theory of geminate recombination has been widely applied to low-mobility materials such as anthracene and amorphous selenium. The photogeneration efficiency in this theory is usually expressed as a triple series expansion.

Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Programs: Measuring Success in Your BRE Program

open access: yesEDIS, 2008
FE658, a 4-page fact sheet by Henry M. Cothran, is ninth in a series on establishing Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) programs. It provides measurement guidelines, a table of common terms used in evaluating programs, and a program goal checklist ...

ON THE q-DERIVATIVE AND q-SERIES EXPANSIONS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Number Theory, 2013
Using a general q-series expansion, we derive some nontrivial q-formulas involving many infinite products. A multitude of Hecke-type series identities are derived. Some general formulas for sums of any number of squares are given. A new representation for the generating function for sums of three triangular numbers is derived, which is slightly ...

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Fourier series expansion method for gain measurement from amplified spontaneous emission spectra of Fabry-Perot semiconductor lasers

open access: yes, 2004
A gain measurement technique, based on Fourier series expansion of periodically extended single fringe of the amplified spontaneous emission spectrum, is proposed for Fabry-Perot semiconductor lasers.

APPROACH TO THE SHIFTED 1/N EXPANSION FOR THE KLEIN-GORDON EQUATION [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
A different approach to the shifted 1/N expansion technique is developed to deal with the Klein-Gordon particle trapped in a spherically symmetric potential.
