Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Accurate Approximations for a Nonlinear SIR System via an Efficient Analytical Approach: Comparative Analysis

open access: yesAxioms
The homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is one of the recent fundamental methods for solving differential equations. However, checking the accuracy of this method has been ignored by some authors in the literature.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Analytical and Numerical Investigation for the Inhomogeneous Pantograph Equation

open access: yesAxioms
This paper investigates the inhomogeneous version of the pantograph equation. The current model includes the exponential function as the inhomogeneous part of the pantograph equation.

AscF in the mycobacterial CIII–CIV supercomplex lacks metal and nucleotide binding but links malate oxidation to respiration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

Series Form Solution to Two Dimensional Heat Equation of Fractional Order

open access: yesResults in Nonlinear Analysis, 2019
In this article we develop series type solution to two dimensional wave equation involving external source term of fractional order. For the require result, we use iterative Laplace transform.

Identification of the plant mitochondrial OrfX protein: A mass spectrometry approach

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mitochondrial genome of plants contains an open reading frame, orfx, which encodes a rare protein that has so far escaped mass spectrometric detection. The protein resembles the c‐subunit of bacterial twin‐arginine‐motif‐dependent protein translocases (TatC).

Exact and Approximate Solutions of A Fractional Diffusion Problem with Fixed Space Memory Length

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science
We study a fractional differential diffusion equation, where the spatial derivative is expressed by the fractional differential operator with a fixed space memory length.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
