An Analytical Solution for the Bending of Anisotropic Rectangular Thin Plates with Elastic Rotation Supports

open access: yesBuildings
The mechanical analysis of thin-plate structures is a major challenge in the field of structural engineering, especially when they have nonclassical boundary conditions, such as those encountered in cement concrete road slabs connected by transfer bars ...

On finite series solutions of conformable time-fractional Cahn-Allen equation

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering, 2020
The aim of this article is to derive new exact solutions of conformable time-fractional Cahn-Allen equation. We have achieved this aim by hyperbolic function and expa function methods with the aid of symbolic computation using Mathematica.

Solutions series for some non-harmonic motion equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
We consider the class of nonlinear oscillators of the form {gather*} {d^2 uover{dt^2}} + f(u) = epsilon g(t) u(0) = a_0, quad u'(0) = 0, end{gather*} where $g(t)$ is a $2T$-periodic function, $f$ is a function only dependent on $u$, and $epsilon $ is a ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Elliptic solutions of isentropic ideal compressible fluid flow in (3 + 1) dimensions

open access: yes, 2009
A modified version of the conditional symmetry method, together with the classical method, is used to obtain new classes of elliptic solutions of the isentropic ideal compressible fluid flow in (3+1) dimensions. We focus on those types of solutions which

Existence of fractional order semianalytical results for enzyme kinetics model

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
This research work investigates the existence of semianalytical solutions of a chemical kinematics model. We develop the conditions for the existence of the solutions for a proposed enzyme kinetics model, via tools of the fixed point theory.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
