Cyclodextrins as Chiral Selectors in Capillary Electrophoresis—Recent Developments in Understanding Analyte Complexation and Applications in Pharmaceutical Analysis

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
Cyclodextrins are the most often applied chiral selectors in CE enantioseparations. In combination with NMR spectroscopy and molecular modeling, studies for an understanding of chiral recognition underlying enantioseparations have been performed.

Precision therapies for genetic epilepsies in 2025: Promises and pitfalls

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract By targeting the underlying etiology, precision therapies offer an exciting paradigm shift to improve the stagnant outcomes of drug‐resistant epilepsies, including developmental and epileptic encephalopathies. Unlike conventional antiseizure medications (ASMs) which only treat the symptoms (seizures) but have no effect on the underlying ...

Stability Evaluation and Parametric Optimization of Coal‐Concrete Composite Bearing Systems Under Mine‐Water‐Induced Deterioration: Experiments and FEINN Analysis

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Mine‐water immersion tests reveal pronounced coal weakening (vs. minor concrete degradation), identifying coal pillars as the stability‐limiting component in composite dams. A coupled FEINN framework quantifies extreme‐pressure stability and ranks multi‐parameter designs via a normalized multi‐indicator scheme, enabling optimized dam configuration for ...

Approximate Solutions for Coupled Systems of Nonlinear PDEs Using the Reduced Differential Transform Method

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we are concerned with finding approximate solutions to systems of nonlinear PDEs using the Reduced Differential Transform Method (RDTM). We examine this method to obtain approximate numerical solutions for two different

Quadrature Solution for Fractional Benjamin–Bona–Mahony–Burger Equations

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this work, we present various novelty methods by employing the fractional differential quadrature technique to solve the time and space fractional nonlinear Benjamin–Bona–Mahony equation and the Benjamin–Bona–Mahony–Burger equation.

Approximate homotopy series solutions of perturbed PDEs via approximate symmetry method

open access: yes, 2011
We show that the two couple equations derived by approximate symmetry method and approximate homotopy symmetry method are connected by a transformation for the perturbed PDEs. Consequently, approximate homotopy series solutions can be obtained by acting the transformation on the known solutions by approximate symmetry method.

New Drain Spacing Formulas Using the Variational Iteration Method

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, the drain spacing is computed using the variational iteration method (VIM) to the linearized Boussinesq equation. By applying at most two iterations of the VIM method under three different initial condition scenarios, three equations for drain spacing calculation were derived. These equations predict values of drain spacing that
