FABP7 Expression Modulates the Response of Astrocytes to Induced Endotoxemia

open access: yesGlia, Volume 73, Issue 8, Page 1627-1641, August 2025.
Main Points FABP7 silencing reduces inflammatory response in astrocytes. FABP7 silencing decreases astrocyte‐mediated neurotoxicity. FABP7 silencing attenuates NF‐κB‐dependent transcriptional response during endotoxemia. ABSTRACT Fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are a family of small proteins involved in fatty acid (FA) subcellular trafficking.

Astroglial CB1 Reveal Sex‐Specific Synaptic Effects of Amphetamine

open access: yesGlia, Volume 73, Issue 8, Page 1673-1691, August 2025.
Main Points Astroglial CB1 mediate long‐term depression in the NAc through purine release. Amphetamine occludes LTD in male mice by inducing the saturation of A1 receptors. Astroglial CB1 mediate behavioral amphetamine effects in males, but not in females.

Risk Stratification of Dengue Cases Requiring Hospitalization

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 97, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Dengue pathogenesis involves immune‐driven inflammation that contributes to severe disease progression. This study assessed a machine learning model to identify a minimal, yet highly predictive biomarker set, aiming to support clinical decision‐making and patient triage.
