HER-2 Amplification in Uterine Serous Carcinoma and Serous Endometrial Intraepithelial Carcinoma
American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2021Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) targeted therapy shows promising results in HER-2-positive uterine serous carcinoma (USC). HER-2 scoring criteria for USC and its associated noninvasive lesion, serous endometrial intraepithelial carcinoma (SEIC), are not well-established.

Papillary Serous Carcinoma of the Retroperitoneum
Journal of Urology, 1983We describe a retroperitoneal neoplasm in an 11-year-old girl which had a light microscopic appearance identical to that of papillary serous carcinoma of the ovary. There was no evidence of ovarian involvement. Immunohistochemical staining for amylase was positive within the cytoplasm of tumor cells. Since amylase is a marker for serous ovarian tumors,

Serous Tubal In Situ Carcinoma (STIC) in Primary Peritoneal Serous Carcinomas
International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, 2013Recent new data in the pathogenesis of serous pelvic cancer and the introduction of serous tubal in situ carcinoma (STIC) and its precursors have raised the question that whether all primary peritoneal cancers (PPC) are in fact of tubal origin. Therefore, the present study evaluates the frequency of STIC and its precursor lesions in cases that were ...

Papillary serous carcinoma of the peritoneum
International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 1989Between January 1, 1970, and December 31, 1983, 817 patients with serous ovarian carcinoma were seen at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Within this population, we identified those patients with normal-sized ovaries (4 cm or less in maximum diameter) and those with papillary serous histology, exclusive of borderline tumors.

Uterine Papillary Serous Carcinoma
Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1991Uterine papillary serous carcinoma, a histologic subtype of endometrial cancer, is characterized by a propensity for deep myometrial invasion, upper abdominal spread, and poor prognosis. Ovarian carcinoma is the deadliest gynecological malignancy. Previous studies have suggested that the fallopian tube may be the primary site for high-grade serous carcinoma. In prophylactic salpingo-oophorectomies from women with hereditary high risk for ovarian cancer, precursors can be assessed prior to onset and studied as a model for serous cancer ...
