CERULOPLASMIN ACTIVITY AND ITS RELATION TO COPPER LEVEL IN BLOOD SERUM OF FRIESIAN DAIRY COWS. [PDF]
The relationship between ceruloplasmin, a metalloenzyme with oxidase activity, and copper was investigated in Frisian dairy cows. The oxidase activity of ceruloplasmin correlated closely with the serum copper concentrations in Frisian dairy cows ...

Determination of ceruloplasmin, some other acute phase proteins, and biochemical parameters in cows with endometritis [PDF]
Aim: The aim of this study is to determine serum ceruloplasmin levels in cows with endometritis of varying degrees of severity and to establish whether or not there is a correlation between acute phase protein (APP) levels and biochemical parameters ...

The effects of restricted nursing (RN) and the administration of a bovine appeasing substance (BAS) on days −8 and 0 in relation to weaning were evaluated. Both strategies were effective in improving the growth performance of beef calves. Regarding welfare, BAS ‐especially on day 0‐ was more effective than RN.

Abstract Objectives Reliable biochemical markers of starvation are needed to improve detection and monitoring of starvation in pediatric anorexia nervosa (AN), thus we explored new and revisited old potential serum biochemical markers. Methods In this prospective cohort study we included 65 pediatric patients with AN.
