In 342 AECHF patients, CAR independently predicted all‐cause mortality. High CAR (>0.66) conferred a 1.778‐fold risk. Despite a modest AUC (0.578), CAR is a practical adjunctive biomarker for multiparametric risk stratification. ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the correlation between the high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein‐to‐albumin ratio (CAR) and all‐

Serum prealbumin is a prognostic indicator in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
AbstractIntroductionIdiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a fatal interstitial lung disease characterized by variable progression. The prealbumin (PA) is a parameter in a routine blood biochemistry examination. We sought to investigate the prognostic value in IPF patients.ObjectivesTo evaluate the prognosis value in patients with IPF.MethodsBlood ...

This study developed and internally validated a nomogram incorporating baseline NIHSS score, monocytes, platelets, post‐thrombectomy fasting blood glucose, and number of passes to predict parenchymal hematoma after EVT in large core infarctions. A pass‐by‐IVT interaction suggests minimizing unnecessary passes during direct thrombectomy.

Abstract Background This study aimed to assess the incidence and identify risk factors associated with the development of propofol‐induced hypertriglyceridemia in critically ill trauma patients who required nutrition therapy. Methods Adult patients (aged >17 years) admitted to the trauma intensive care unit who received propofol for >24 h and had a ...

Prognostic value of listing-phase prealbumin on outcomes following orthotopic heart transplantation
Background: While serum prealbumin is frequently utilized during transplant candidacy evaluations to estimate nutritional status and surgical risk, its association with outcomes following orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT) remains unknown. This study
