Abstract The final clauses in Genesis 9,26–27 are often seen as continuing the curse on Canaan from verse 25. However, I will argue that verses 26–27 are Noah’s final blessing before his death, rather than part of the curse for Ham’s sin and the antecedent to the pronoun in the final clauses of verses 26–27 is God.
