Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Three‐phase service level agreements and trust management model for monitoring and managing the services by trusted cloud broker

open access: yesIET Communications, 2022
Cloud computing is an environment where everything is provided as a service based on demand. It follows pay as per the used model in which the service consumer needs to pay for what they have consumed.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Implementación de lenguajes de contrato electrónico en Oracle Service Bus

open access: yesRevista Cubana de Ciencias Informáticas, 2015
In the development and implementation of integration scenarios have involved services from various sources, where attention has focused on the operations they provide and have rarely been taken into account its non-functional requirements which include ...

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

On description of contracts and agreements in the context of SOA

open access: yesComputational Science and Techniques, 2013
The issue of making contracts between services in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) arises naturally, because in real life services are subjects for negotiation and contracting.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

[Special Section on Net Neutrality] Measuring the Network - Service Level Agreements, Service Level Monitoring, Network Architecture and Network Neutrality

open access: yesInternational Journal of Communication, 2007
In this paper, we argue that the network neutrality debate hinges on issues that go beyond whether a carrier is unfairly discriminating in their treatment of packets across their network.
