Nature, 1948Sesamum laciniatum is a wild species which is reported to occur with another wild species, S. prostratum Retz., in south India1. The two species resemble each other closely in their morphological characters except for the fact that the leaves of S. laciniatum are more deeply pinnatifid than those of S. prostratum.
