Atanassov recently proposed a new circular intuitionistic fuzzy set (CIFS) as an extension of intuitionistic fuzzy sets to express uncertain information by a circle with centered membership, non-membership, and radius r.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Multi-granularity Intuitive Fuzzy Rough Set Model Based on θ Operator [PDF]
In order to solve the problem that it is difficult for decision makers to make accurate judgment when multiple attributes conflict with each other in the multi-attribute decision making. In the intuitive fuzzy approximation space, this paper firstly uses ...

eXamine: a Cytoscape app for exploring annotated modules in networks [PDF]
Background. Biological networks have growing importance for the interpretation of high-throughput "omics" data. Statistical and combinatorial methods allow to obtain mechanistic insights through the extraction of smaller subnetwork modules.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Set-membership localization with probabilistic errors [PDF]
Interval methods have been shown to be efficient, robust and reliable to solve difficult set-membership localization problems. However, they are unsuitable in a probabilistic context, where the approximation of an unbounded probability density function by a set cannot be accepted. This paper proposes a new probabilistic approach which makes possible to

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
