Kelp Diagrams: Point Set Membership Visualization
Computer Graphics Forum, 2012AbstractWe present Kelp Diagrams, a novel method to depict set relations over points, i.e., elements with predefined positions. Our method creates schematic drawings and has been designed to take aesthetic quality, efficiency, and effectiveness into account.

SET MEMBERSHIP ESTIMATION OF NONLINEAR REGRESSIONS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2002Abstract In this paper we propose a method, based on a Set Membership approach, for the estimation of nonlinear regressions models. At the contrary of most of the existing identification approaches, the method presented in this paper does not need any assumption about the functional form of the model to be identified, but uses only some prior ...

Set Membership approximation of discontinuous NMPC laws
Proceedings of the 48h IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) held jointly with 2009 28th Chinese Control Conference, 2009In this paper, the use of Set Membership (SM) approximation methods is investigated, in order to derive a fast implementation of discontinuous nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) laws. It is shown that the knowledge of the discontinuities is needed in order to achieve an approximated controller with guaranteed and arbitrary small approximation ...

Set-membership subband adaptive filters
2008 3rd International Symposium on Communications, Control and Signal Processing, 2008In this paper, the concept of set-membership (SM) adaptive filtering is extended to the subband adaptive filters (SAFs) and a novel SM-SAF algorithm is presented. The proposed algorithm exhibits superior performance with significant reduction in the overall computational complexity compared with the ordinary SAF.

Set-membership affine projection algorithm
IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2001This letter presents a new data selective adaptive filtering algorithm, the set-membership affine projection (SM-AP) algorithm. The algorithm generalizes the idea of the set-membership NLMS (SM-NLMS) algorithm to include constraint sets constructed from the past input and desired signal pairs.
