Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Patients With Osteosarcoma: Local Control Outcomes With Dosimetric Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.

Fault detection and isolation for a wind turbine benchmark using a mixed Bayesian/Set-membership approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper addresses the problem of fault detection and isolation of wind turbines using a mixed Bayesian/Set-membership approach. Modeling errors are assumed to be unknown but bounded, following the set-membership approach.

Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

SET-MEMBERSHIP IDENTIFICATION OF CONTINUOUS-TIME SYSTEMS

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
The identification of continuous-time systems from discrete-time data is investigated in a bounded-error context. Errors are taken as a discrete time signal, additive on output, unknown but bounded with known bounds. The set inversion via interval analysis algorithm is used with validated numerical integration methods.

Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

A survey on set-membership filtering for networked control systems under communication protocols

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering, 2018
In recent years, the set-membership filtering problem has received extensive research interests due to its engineering significance to estimate a set which includes the true state of the system rather than a single vector.

A Set-Membership approach to short-term electric load forecasting

open access: yesRevista Iberoamericana de Automática e Informática Industrial RIAI, 2019
This work presents a model for the short-term forecast of electric load, based on Set-Membership techniques. The model is formed by a periodic component and an adaptive non-linear autoregressive component.

A unified framework for solving a general class of conditional and robust set-membership estimation problems

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we present a unified framework for solving a general class of problems arising in the context of set-membership estimation/identification theory.
