Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Set Membership Adaptive Non Parametric Identification of Non-Linear Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
Adaptation is a desirable feature when dealing with the identification of complex systems. However, this property can be difficult to achieve when non-convex model structures such as neural networks are employed to parametrize the unknown system.

A Tighter Set-Membership Filter for Some Nonlinear Dynamic Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we propose a tighter set-membership filter for some nonlinear dynamic systems by using an analytic method and a boundary sampling technique.

A convex relaxation approach to set-membership identification of LPV systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Identification of linear parameter varying models is considered in this paper, under the assumption that both the output and the scheduling parameter measurements are affected by bounded noise.

Patient‐Level Barriers and Facilitators to Inpatient Physical Therapy in Adolescents and Young Adults With a Hematological Malignancy: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite their increased risk for functional impairment resulting from cancer and its treatments, few adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with a hematological malignancy receive the recommended or therapeutic dose of exercise per week during inpatient hospitalizations.

Stochastic Modeling of the Set-Membership- Sign-NLMS Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes the Set-Membership sign-NLMS (SM-sign-NLMS) adaptive filter, which combines the ability for data censoring (offered by Set-Membership schemes) with robustness against impulsive noise (provided by signed schemes).

Correlation Coefficient Measures of Interval Bipolar Neutrosophic Sets for Solving Multi-Attribute Decision Making Problems [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2018
Interval bipolar neutrosophic set is a significant extension of interval neutrosophic set where every element of the set comprises of three independent positive membership functions and three independent negative membership functions.

Set-membership estimation improvement applying HOSM differentiators [PDF]

open access: yes2012 American Control Conference (ACC), 2012
This work is devoted to design of interval observers for a class of Linear-Parameter-Varying (LPV) systems. Applying High Order Sliding Mode (HOSM) techniques it is possible to decrease the initial level of uncertainty in the system, which leads to improvement of set-membership estimates generated by an interval observer.
