Adjustment Model and Algorithm Based on Ellipsoid Uncertainty [PDF]
In surveying adjustment models, there is usually some uncertain additional information or prior information on parameters, which can constrain the parameters, and guarantee the uniqueness and stability of parameter solution. In this paper, we firstly use

Set-membership identifiability of nonlinear models and related parameter estimation properties
Identifiability guarantees that the mathematical model of a dynamic system is well defined in the sense that it maps unambiguously its parameters to the output trajectories.

Set-membership parameter estimation based on Voronoi vertices
Abstract Identification of complex systems often face structural modelling errors and limited or low quality data, which hinder statistical characterisations. An alternative is the set-membership approach, where errors are assumed unknown-but-bounded.

Zonotopic set-membership state estimation for switched systems
This paper proposes a new approach for set-membership state estimation of switched discrete-time linear systems subject to bounded disturbances and noises. A zonotopic outer approximation of the state estimation domain is computed and a new criterion is proposed to reduce the size of the zonotope at each sample time.

Set-membership state estimation by solving data association [PDF]
This paper deals with the localization problem of a robot in an environment made of indistinguishable landmarks, and assuming the initial position of the vehicle is unknown. This scenario is typically encountered in underwater applications for which landmarks such as rocks all look alike.

On the usefulness of set-membership estimation in the epidemiology of infectious diseases
We present a method, known in control theory, to give set-membership estimates for the states of a population in which an infectious disease is spreading.

Type-2 fuzzy logic controller design optimization using the PSO approach for ECG prediction [PDF]
In this study, a hybrid model for prediction issues based on IT2FLS and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is proposed. The main contribution of this work is to discover the ideal strategy for creating an optimal value vector to optimize the membership ...
