Effect of foliage-applied plant nutrients on seed production of kanzungula grass (Setaria sphacelata)

Indian Journal of Agronomy, 2001
Kanzungula grass [Setaria sphacelata . manual collection of seeds. (Sckimach.) Stapf & Hubbard ex Moss] cv. All the nutrients significantly increased Nandi is one of the nutritious grasses the seed yield compared with the control adapted to tropical and subtropical (Table I), indicating the need for these environments (Dwivedi, 1985; Dwivedi et ...

The Effect of Giant Foxtail (Setaria faberi) Plant Height on Control with Six Postemergence Herbicides

Weed Technology, 1993
Field experiments were conducted from 1986 to 1988 to evaluate giant foxtail control at four plant heights by six POST grass herbicides. Clethodim, fenoxaprop, fluazifop-P, haloxyfop, quizalofop, and sethoxydim controlled 95% or more of 60-cm giant foxtail all three years at the labeled herbicide application rates.

The genetic relationship between the digestibility of leaf, stem and whole plant in Setaria

Australian Journal of Agricultural Research, 1974
The genetic interrelationships of in vitro dry matter digestibility of whole plant (DMDWP), leaf (DMDL), stem (DMDS) and terminal two leaf (DMD2L) fractions were investigated in 4-week regrowth of 21 tetraploid clones of Setaria anceps and 14 hexaploid clones of Setaria trinervia.

Brassinosteroid biosynthesis and signaling: Conserved and diversified functions of core genes across multiple plant species

Plant Communications
Brassinosteroids (BRs) are important regulators that control myriad aspects of plant growth and development, including biotic and abiotic stress responses, such that modulating BR homeostasis and signaling presents abundant opportunities for plant ...

[Effects of Morus alba and Setaria italica intercropping on their plant growth and diurnal variation of photosynthesis].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2013
A field investigation was conducted to study the effects of intercropping Morus aIba and Setaria italica on their dry matter production, land use efficiency, and diurnal variation of leaf photosynthesis. Under intercropping, the plant height, basal diameter, root length, and branch number of M.
