A Study on Data Pre-Processing and Accident Prediction Modelling for Occupational Accident Analysis in the Construction Industry

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In the construction industry, it is difficult to predict occupational accidents because various accident characteristics arise simultaneously and organically in different types of work.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

The description of entire solutions for some class of complex nonlinear partial differential equation (systems) in C2 ${\mathbb{C}}^{2}$

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
This article focuses on describing the entire solutions of complex nonlinear partial differential equation (systems) with two variables. Utilizing Nevanlinna theory along with the Hadamard factorization theory of meromorphic functions, we derive several ...

The role and implications of mammalian cellular circadian entrainment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At their most fundamental level, mammalian circadian rhythms occur inside every individual cell. To tell the correct time, cells must align (or ‘entrain’) their circadian rhythm to the external environment. In this review, we highlight how cells entrain to the major circadian cues of light, feeding and temperature, and the implications this has for our

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Lewy unsolvability and several complex variables.

open access: yesMichigan Mathematical Journal, 1991
The paper presents two new proofs of the unsolvability of certain partial differential equations of first order \(Lf=g\). Both proofs depend on the theory of holomorphic functions of several complex variables. In the first case the unsolvability of \(Lf=g\) results from the existence of peak points in the topological algebra that is the kernel of \(L\).
