Design of Single‐Atom Catalysts Anchored in N‐Doped Biphenylene Using Symbolic Regression for Electrocatalytic Nitrate Reduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput in silico calculations for NO3RR based on transition metal doped and nitrogen decorated biphenylene network are performed. A symbolic regression is designed to capture the hidden descriptors of NO3RR for hyper dimensional system entailing large geometric variability.

Monitoring the Circulation of SARS-CoV-2 Variants by Genomic Analysis of Wastewater in Marseille, South-East France

open access: yesPathogens, 2021
The monitoring of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in sewage has been proposed as a simple and unbiased means of assessing epidemic evolution and the efficiency of the COVID-19 control measures. The past year has been marked by the emergence of variants that have led to a

Identification of Host-Specific Bacteroidales 16S rDNA Sequences from Human Sewage and Ruminant Feces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The need to identify the source of fecal contamination of water has led to the development of various fecal source identification methods, a field known as microbial source tracking (MST). One promising method of MST focuses on fecal members of the order

Coupling Nitrogenous Organic Wastewater Treatment and Biorefinery via N‐Cycling Bacterium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The vast reservoir of nitrogenous organic pollutants in industrial wastewaters can serve as untapped carbon‐nitrogen resources. This study employs the newly discovered Paracoccus sp. ZQW‐1 as a versatile chassis to simultaneously achieve N‐methylpyrrolidone (NMP) wastewater depuration and polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) synthesis.

Sabatier‐Adjusted d‐Band Centers of Scalable Asymmetric Iron Sites toward Dynamic Nonradical Network for Fast Mineralization with Low‐Amount Oxidant

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Asymmetric iron single‐atom catalysts with Sabatier‐adjusted d‐band centers overcome the inherent limitations of peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation by establishing a synergistic nonradical pathway network, achieving exceptional pollutant mineralization (≈85%) at only one‐tenth conventional PMS dosage.

Pneumoproteins in sewage workers exposed to sewage dust [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, 2012
The association between exposure to bacteria and endotoxins in sewage dust and the serum concentrations of pneumoproteins in sewage treatment plant workers were studied.Forty-four workers from eight sewage treatment plants and 38 reference workers participated in the study. Microbial aerosol was collected by personal inhalable samplers.
