Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Identification of sex-determination regions and development of male-specific markers for topmouth culter (Culter alburnus)

open access: yesAquaculture Reports
The topmouth culter (Culter alburnus), a carnivorous freshwater species in the family Cyprinidae (order Cypriniformes), holds high economic value and displays marked sexual dimorphism in growth, where females exhibit accelerated growth relative to males.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Detection of genetic sex using a qPCR-based method in the bigfin reef squid (Sepioteuthis lessoniana)

open access: yesAquaculture Reports
The bigfin reef squid (Sepioteuthis lessoniana) is a valuable commercial species, especially in East Asia. While small-scale cultivation exists, efforts to achieve large-scale aquaculture are underway.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Accuracy of Cranial and Mandible Morphological Traits for Sex Determination in Thais

open access: yesSiriraj Medical Journal, 2008
Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of sexual dimorphism in the cranium and mandible of Thais using the Krogman’s cranioscopy and the modified Krogman’s cranioscopy traits by grading and measurement.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
