We identify a Lepidoptera‐conserved testis‐specific arylalkylamine N‐acetyltransferase (LTNAT) that governs male moth fertility via a novel mechanism. LTNAT loss disrupts eupyrene sperm mitochondrial derivatives and impairs apyrene sperm motility, offering a safe molecular target for innovative pesticides and genetic pest control.

This study reveals that maternal antibiotic exposure prior to conception disrupts intergenerational gut microbial succession. By enhancing maternal‐offspring microbial transmission, altering microbial developmental trajectories and increasing selective pressures during community assembly, these disturbances lead to persistent gut mucosal immaturity and

A biocompatible hydrogel coating with tissue‐like mechanics and reversible dissolution triggered by a mild, physiologically compatible temperature drop (≈37°C → ≈25°C) was developed for the transient encapsulation of implantable devices. The physically crosslinked methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol and polyacrilic acid (MC/PEG/PAA) hydrogel ...

Depletion of the RNA‐Editing Enzyme ADAR1 Invigorates the Antitumor Immunity of NK Cells
ADAR1 is upregulated in NK cells from melanoma patients, impairing their function. Its loss enhances NK cell tumor infiltration and cytotoxicity in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, ADAR1 deficiency destabilizes CD38 mRNA to reduce its expression, thereby increasing NK cell mobility and killing, which nominates it as a therapeutic target for NK cell ...

D. J. MERRELL1 says in regard to the fertility of matings of Drosophila when employing males less than 24 hr. old and males aged for seven days: “The imaged flies were left together in the creamers for periods ranging from 18 to 72 hours; the aged flies were separated after 2 to 7 hours, the variation in time being due to differences in the length of ...

Sexual Maturation in Thai Boys
Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2010A worldwide secular trend towards earlier onset of puberty in girls has been noted during recent years. However, the data on sexual maturation of boys are relatively scarce and normative data of sexual maturation in Thai boys are still lacking. To determine the age of secondary sexual maturation in normal Thai boys.Three hundred healthy urban boys aged ...

Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 2008
ContentsIn this review, we describe the process of sexual maturation in the bull calf. The testes of the bull grow relatively slowly until approximately 25 weeks of age and then a rapid phase of growth occurs until puberty, at 37–50 weeks of age. During the early postnatal phase of slower growth of the testis pre‐spermatogonia and some spermatogonia ...
