Cognitive Function Deficits Associated With Type 2 Diabetes and Retinopathy: Volumetric Brain MR Imaging Study

Brain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2025.
This study aimed to assess cognitive functioning in type 2 diabetic individuals with and without retinopathy by evaluating differences in brain morphology, structure, and biochemistry. Participants underwent neuropsychological testing and brain MRI, revealing gray matter volume differences between the groups.
