Adsorption properties of InP3 monolayer toward SF6 decomposed gases: A DFT study

, 2021
The detection of SF6 decomposed gases is essential link for the fault diagnosis of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). In this paper, the gas sensing properties of a new planar 2D material indium triphosphide (InP3) had been proposed and studied towards four

Recovery of High-Purity SF6 from Humid SF6/N2 Mixture within a Co(II)-Pyrazolate Framework.

Journal of the American Chemical Society
Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) is extensively employed in the power industry. However, its emissions significantly contribute to the greenhouse effect. The direct recovery of high purity SF6 from industrial waste gases would benefit its sustainable use, yet ...

Pd-Adsorbed SiN3 Monolayer as a Promising Gas Scavenger for SF6 Partial Discharge Decomposition Components: Insights from the First-Principles Study.

Langmuir
Gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) equipment must be protected by detecting and eliminating the toxic SF6 partial discharge decomposition components. This study employs first-principles calculations to thoroughly investigate the interaction between a Pd ...

Pristine and Cu decorated hexagonal InN monolayer, a promising candidate to detect and scavenge SF6 decompositions based on first-principle study.

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2019
We carried out the first-principle study of four types of SF6 decompositions adsorbed on pristine and Cu atom decorated hexagonal InN monolayer. The adsorption structures, adsorption energy, electron transfer, band structure, density of states and ...

Photodetachment of SF6−

Chemical Physics Letters, 1995
Abstract The photodetachment cross section for SF 6 − and the photodetachment threshold for this process have been accurately measured using a newly developed technique. The photodetachment cross section has a threshold at 3.16 eV which is about three times larger than the electron affinity of the SF 6 molecule.

Infrared intensities in crystalline SF6

Spectrochimica Acta, 1962
Abstract Absolute infrared intensities of solid SF 6 have been measured. The results are v 5 , B = 104,000 cm mmole −1 v 6 , B = 12,200 cm mmole −1 The values represent a 1 per cent decrease and 63 per cent increase, respectively, from the gas phase.

Volume electrical discharge in Ne/SF6/C6H14 and pure SF6

Russian Physics Journal, 1999
The electrical and spatial characteristics of a volume electrical discharge are studied as functions of the ratio of partial pressures of the mixture components at varying initial voltage. Early in the discharge, hot (plasma) cathode spots are observed with diffusive plasma flares developing above them.

Mobility Estimates of SF6 − Ion in Parent SF6 Gas

2004
In high-voltage transmission systems and plasma technology it is of primary interest to understand various aspects of corona discharge phenomenon leading to corona stability regime in non-uniform gaps filled with high-pressure SF6 gas. This invokes determination of swarm parameters for modeling kinetic behavior of ions and ionic clusters.

Mid-infrared quartz-enhanced photoacoustic sensor for ppb-level CO detection in SF6 gas matrix exploiting a T-grooved quartz tuning fork.

Analytical Chemistry, 2020
An optical sensor for highly sensitive detection of carbon monoxide (CO) in sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) was demonstrated by using quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) technique. A spectrophone composed by a custom 8 kHz T-shaped quartz tuning
