Mobility Estimates of SF6 − Ion in Parent SF6 Gas

2004
In high-voltage transmission systems and plasma technology it is of primary interest to understand various aspects of corona discharge phenomenon leading to corona stability regime in non-uniform gaps filled with high-pressure SF6 gas. This invokes determination of swarm parameters for modeling kinetic behavior of ions and ionic clusters.

±100-kV HVDC SF6/N2 Gas-Insulated Transmission Line

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2020
This paper introduces an HVDC SF6/N2 gas-insulated transmission line (GIL) prototype that operates under 100-kV DC application. In the first part, the development history of GIL products over the past 50 years is reviewed.

SF6 fault decomposition feature component extraction and triangle fault diagnosis method

IEEE transactions on dielectrics and electrical insulation, 2020
How to use SF6 decomposition feature component information to judge the form and degree of gas-insulated equipment (GIE) field discharge and overthermal faults quickly is a problem that remains unresolved.

Postpneumonectomy space control with SF6

The Japanese Journal of Surgery, 1991
Four cases of patients whose postpneumonectomy spaces had been controlled with SF6 were examined at autopsy, which showed that the spaces were entirely covered with thickening parietal pleura and that the mediastinum had moderate elasticity. Histologically, fibrotic changes with minimum inflammation patterns were seen in the pleura.

Isotope tracing experimental study on the effects of trace H2O on the over-thermal decomposition of SF6

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2020
It has been recognized that the gas insulating medium SF6 decomposes when the partial over-thermal fault (POF) occurs inside the equipment. The insulation condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of the equipment can be carried out by utilizing the ...

[Infrared spectrum analysis of SF6 and SF6 decomposition].

Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2015
Pressured SF6 gas is widely used in GIS for electrical insulation as well as for are extinction. And a chemical way for detecting the SF6 and its byproducts is a powerful diagnosis method for GIS. The present paper analyzes the decomposition of insulated gas of GIS (mostly SF6) in three cases with infrared spectrometer.

Electric discharge initiated SF6 - H2 and SF6 - HBr chemical lasers

Chemical Physics Letters, 1970
Abstract Hydrogen fluoride laser transitions were produced by electric discharge initiation of SF6 + HBr and SF6 + H2 mixtures. The reaction of H atom with SFX (X ⩽ 6) species is invoked to explain the P4(7) line observed in the reaction between SF6 and H2.

Muonic X-ray intensities in SF6 and in H2+SF6

Physics Letters A, 1973
Abstract With a high pressure gas target muonic F and S X-ray intensities in SF 6 and H 2 +SF 6 have been measured. It was found that the distribution of muons between sulphur and fluorine is not at all equal to the ratio of the atomic numbers Z .

Breakdown Strength of N2-SF6 Gas Mixtures Containing 10% and 5% SF6 Compared with pure SF6

2001
SF6 as insulating gas has a very good dielectric strength. Therefore, SF6 is used in many applications. Nowadays, it is investigated again whether SF6-N2 mixtures can replace pure SF6 in for example gas-insulated substations and lines. For pure SF6 the optimal gas pressure varies between 4 and 6 bar.
