Detection of active infection of Sf9 insect cells by recombinant baculoviruses

Journal of Virological Methods, 1997
Production of different recombinant proteins in baculovirus AcMNPV (BV)-infected cells may be facilitated by the availability of immunoassays to monitor active infection of Sf9 insect cells. To this end, two hybridomas secreting mouse monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) were established to different BV-related products. The proteins recognized by mAb SM22 and

Properties of single Drosophila Trpl channels expressed in Sf9 insect cells

American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology, 1997
The transient receptor potential (trp)-like (trpl) gene is thought to encode an ion channel important for signal transduction in Drosophila photoreceptor cells. Consistent with this hypothesis, heterologous expression of the trpl-encoded protein (Trpl) is associated with the appearance of an outwardly rectifying, nonselective cation current.

Analysis of Baculovirus Infected Sf9 Cells Using Flow Cytometry

2008
The insect cell-baculovirus expression system is a widely used system for the expression of recombinant proteins and is the first choice system for many laboratories. There are many published reports on the optimisation of the process discussing cell lines, growth medium, etc, however, there are relatively few reports covering the analysis of insect ...
