Transformation of spin information into large electrical signals via carbon nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Spin electronics (spintronics) exploits the magnetic nature of the electron, and is commercially exploited in the spin valves of disc-drive read heads. There is currently widespread interest in using industrially relevant semiconductors in new types of ...

Folate‐Functionalized Mesoporous Hollow SnO2 Nanofibers as a Targeting Drug Carrier to Improve the Antitumor Effect of Paclitaxel for Liver Cancer Therapy

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
In this study, we prepared PTX‐loaded mesoporous hollow SnO2 nanofibers conjugated with folic acid (SFNFP) for liver cancer therapy. According to SEM and TEM characterization, SFNF showed a mesoporous hollow structure. The average outer diameter was 200 nm, and the wall thickness was 50 nm.

Distribution of Submerged Aquatic Vegetation in the Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries and the Coastal Bays - 1997 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
SA V distribution data in this report are presented and discussed based on the segmentation scheme adopted by the Chesapeake Bay Program (Flemer et al., 1983) and described briefly in the Methods section of this report.

Global analysis of the Sivers functions at NLO+NNLL in QCD

open access: yes, 2021
We perform global fit to the quark Sivers function within the transverse momentum dependent (TMD) factorization formalism in QCD. We simultaneously fit Sivers asymmetry data from Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) at COMPASS, HERMES, and ...

A functional limit theorem for the sine-process

open access: yes, 2018
The main result of this paper is a functional limit theorem for the sine-process. In particular, we study the limit distribution, in the space of trajectories, for the number of particles in a growing interval.

Advanced Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy for The Study of Nuclear Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Chromatin is a macromolecule mainly composed by DNA and histones. Chromatin not only has the function of compacting the DNA in order to make it fit into the nucleus, but also plays an active role in the regulation of all biological processes using DNA as
