Residual and Late Onset Symptoms Appeared in a Patient with Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia in a Convalescence Stage

open access: yesViruses, 2021
Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging tick-borne infectious disease caused by Dabie bandavirus (formerly SFTS virus, SFTSV). Its manifestations during the convalescent phase have not been widely described.

Investigation into the Pancreatic Pathogenesis of SFTSV across Multiple Levels. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
A retrospective analysis revealed that 17.6% of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) patients met the diagnostic criteria for clinically confirmed pancreatitis. Using human pancreatic organoids and murine models demonstrated that SFTSV exhibits a specific pancreatic tropism, leading to cell death and initiating a strong inflammatory ...

Toward Knowledge‐Guided AI for Inverse Design in Manufacturing: A Perspective on Domain, Physics, and Human–AI Synergy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights how knowledge‐guided artificial intelligence can address key challenges in manufacturing inverse design, including high‐dimensional search spaces, limited data, and process constraints. It focused on three complementary pillars—expert‐guided problem definition, physics‐informed machine learning, and large language model ...

Recent Advances in the Study of the Immune Escape Mechanism of SFTSV and Its Therapeutic Agents

open access: yesViruses, 2023
Sever fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is a new infectious disease that has emerged in recent years and is widely distributed, highly contagious, and lethal, with a mortality rate of up to 30%, especially in people with immune system ...

Non-local SFT tachyon and cosmology [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2007
Cosmological scenarios built upon the generalized non-local String Field Theory and $p$-adic tachyons are examined. A general kinetic operator involving an infinite number of derivatives is studied as well as arbitrary parameter $p$. The late time dynamics of just the tachyon around the non-perturbative vacuum is shown to leave the cosmology trivial. A

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) treated with a novel antiviral medication, favipiravir (T-705)

open access: yesInfection, 2019
Background Severe fever and thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an acute illness with a high mortality (16.2–29.1%). Unfortunately, there is no specific cure or vaccine for SFTS.

Chiari I Malformation: Review and Update of Current Treatment Options

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The pathophysiology of Chiari malformation type I (CM‐I) is complex, involving structural abnormalities at the craniovertebral junction that result in herniation of the cerebellar tonsils through the foramen magnum. In this study, we aim to present and evaluate current treatment options for CM‐I, with a focus on evidence‐based clinical ...

Unusual Solitary Fibrous Tumors in the Central Nervous System: A Report of Two Cases

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2005
Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are uncommon, and most are found in the pleura. Extrapleural SFTs are rare and have been found in the lung, pericardium, mediastinum, soft tissue of any site, and upper respiratory tract. SFTs of the central nervous system (
