Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits

Advanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.

Wafer‐Scale Top‐Down Patterning of Metal Halide Perovskites

Wafer‐scale patterning of metal halide perovskite films is demonstrated on 150 mm substrates using a chemically amplified resist, polymethyl methacrylate (CAR‐PMMA) and a single reactive ion etching step. Near‐Field Nanoimaging of Programmable Phase Transitions in Ga+‐Irradiated VO2

Focused Ga+ ion irradiation locally reprograms the insulator‐to‐metal transition in VO2 thin films. Infrared and terahertz near‐field nanoimaging reveals that low irradiation doses localize the resistive‐switching filament within the defect region, while high doses suppress switching there and redirect the filament into pristine VO2.
