Production of shadow-mask-improved technology

Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2002
Abstract A shadow-mask is a specific metal plate that is used in color TVs and computer monitors. Manufacturing is generally composed of coating, cleaning, exposure and etching processes. After a thin metal plate is made by rolling, a photosensitive liquid is coated on the metal plate in a coating process.

Effects of shadow‐mask voltage on the discharge in shadow‐mask PDPs

Journal of the Society for Information Display, 2009
Abstract— A new type of ACPDP with a shadow mask (shadow‐mask PDP, SMPDP) has been developed, featuring an effective structure and lower cost. The distinct difference between an SMPDP and a conventional ACPDP is that the dielectric barrier ribs are replaced by a single metal shadow mask.

The Shadow Meets the Mask: Pyramid‐Based Shadow Removal

Computer Graphics Forum, 2008
AbstractIn this paper we propose a novel method for detecting and removing shadows from a single image thereby obtaining a high‐quality shadow‐free image. With minimal user assistance, we first identify shadowed and lit areas on the same surface in the scene using an illumination‐invariant distance measure.

Shadow mask technology

Thin Solid Films, 2002
Abstract We investigate molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) regrowth through shadow masks developed from AlGaAs/GaAs layers on GaAs [001] substrates. Adjusting the directions of the molecular beams relative to the masks results in in situ lateral structuring.

Mirror, Mask, and Shadow

Journal of Management Inquiry, 1993
Using a psychodynamic perspective on intergroup relations, it is suggested that in-groups create enemy out-groups to avoid dealing with internally generated, emotionally laden issues—the group shadow—that exist within the in-group. In-groups develop an exaggerated view of themselves—the social mask—to sustain an illusion of harmony, homogeneity, and ...

MASKING AND SHADOW HEARING IN BONE CONDUCTION

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1950
IN THE performance of a hearing test the object of masking is to keep one ear occupied while the other ear is being tested. A complex noise consisting of the essential frequencies gives a satisfactory masking effect. The specific areas on the basilar membrane will resonate to the complex masking sound and will become refractory to stimulation from ...

Automated shadow mask inspection using DSP

Proceedings IROS '91:IEEE/RSJ International Workshop on Intelligent Robots and Systems '91, 2002
Presents a new shadow mask inspection method which can detect the very small hole defects reliably and rapidly; the shadow mask line image data is periodical. The inspection method mainly depends on the fact that a small defect can be significantly emphasized in terms of the comparison between the image pixels departed by the period.
