Terahertz‐Nanoscale Visualization of the Microscopic Spin‐Charge Architecture of Colossal Magnetoresistive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs cryogenic magneto‐terahertz nanoscopy to reveal the real‐space electrodynamics of the colossal magnetoresistance transition. By capturing the terahertz electrodynamic evolution of field‐driven spin switching, the work unveils the dissipative dynamics of emergent metallic states, providing a high‐frequency view of coupled spin‐charge ...

Numerical study of passive thermal management for a high-temperature, high-speed rotary joint using an internal air gap

open access: yesFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering
Excessive axial heat transfer through the shaft of high-speed rotary systems exposed to hot fluids can cause bearing overheating, lubricant degradation, thermal expansion-induced interference, and premature failure.

Stochastic Entanglement of Deterministic Origami Tentacles For Robust Robotic Grasping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces an origami tentacle gripper to robustly grasp objects‐in air, underwater, and even in orbital space‐by exploiting a synergy between local, deterministic deformation programming and global, stochastic entanglements. A single origami tentacle can be designed to coil with a simple tendon pull.

EVALUATION OF SIDE RESISTANCE CAPACITY FOR DRILLED SHAFTS

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Technology, 2011
This paper presents an extensive evaluation of axial side resistance of drilled shaft foundations. A wide variety of load test data are used and these data are divided into drained and undrained databases. Representative analytical models, including alpha (α), beta (β), and lambda (λ) methods, are examined in detail using both measured and predicted ...

Latent Diffusion Process With Mechanistic Guidance For Designing Functionally Graded Metamaterials With Perfect Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A latent diffusion‐based framework is proposed for designing functionally graded metamaterials with perfect connectivity. By integrating vector‐quantized latent representations with mechanistic guidance, the framework enables accurate inverse design toward target elastic properties.

Loss of SHP1 in Spinal Astrocytes Triggers T‐Lymphocyte Infiltration and Nociceptive Hypersensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.

Single‐Sensor Vibration Sensing in Anisotropic Composites Enabled by Disordered Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops a single‐sensor vibration sensing (SSVS) framework that integrates disordered metasurfaces with compressive sensing. Comprehensive numerical and experimental validations demonstrate that, by manipulating anisotropic guided wave propagation through metasurfaces, the proposed SSVS framework enables high‐fidelity multi‐source vibration ...
