Voltages in the Shaft of the Induction Motor in 3D FEM Formulation
2007 IEEE International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electric Machines, Power Electronics and Drives, 2007A 3D model reflecting entire internal structure of the asynchronous machine using finite elements method, has been presented here. Nodal finite elements have been used to approximate scalar potential and edge finite elements to approximate vector magnetic potential.

2014 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2014The phenomenon of voltages and currents on motor and generator shafts has been known for the last 100 years [1, 2]. It affects motors, hydro generators and turbo generators. There has been an increase in occurrences and intensity of shaft current damages as machines became larger, particularly on high speed turbo generators.
